Free Vastu Tips PART-3:

Not everyone is capable enough to pay the consultation fees of a vastu expert. Some of us believe and not believe in vastu at the same time. Some had bad experiences with vastu consultants previously. While there are few others who would like to try and check results for themselves before taking paid consultation.

So here is the third compilation of free and easy to implement vastu tips.

1)    Ganesh on Door : Ganesh was created to protect the entrance. He was so fierce that he did not even let Shiva inside. A home door should NOT have such protection. Home is meant for welcome. Ganesh should not be kept at the entrance. If one feels that this is too rebellious, keep Dhristi Ganesh on the entry. Dhristi Ganesh is one with 16 hands holding 16 auspicious (mangal) things.

2)     Black Swastik and Toran (Bandarwal): Home door should have some sort of protection and at the same time should be welcoming.  A pair of black swastik on both sides of the door saves from evil eye and envy of enemies. A toran or Bandarwal made of Mango or Ashoka leaves is MUST at the entrance. Though many people put designer toran on the entrance, there is no replacement for Mango/Ashoka leaves at the entrance.

3)     Loft/Storage under bed: Loft is an overhead space for storage. Many homes have loft with items which have not been touched in years. It is best to clean the loft of unwanted items. Even if the items stored in the loft are deemed usable, it is best to take it out at least once a year. Similar treatment should also be given to storage under bed.

4)     Cleaning: While mopping, put some natural salt (not iodized salt) in the water. This helps in the cleaning of negative energy on a daily basis. Neem leaves or extract of neem leaves can also be used along with salt for this purpose.

5)     Painting: Painting is an activity which requires all furniture, bed etc to move. It involves deep cleaning, removal of any pasted pictures etc from walls, repair of damp, drills, cracks and a lot more. Painting (even one coat) of the house should be done once a year and if not possible, at least once in three years. Movement of all furniture etc causes release of stuck energy. Activity of painting acts like a fresh restart of life.
